About JMP 7 JMP is a computer program that was first developed by John Sall to perform simple and complex statistical analyses. It dynamically links statistics with graphics to interactively explore, understand, and visualize data. This allows you to click on any point in a graph, and see the corresponding data point highlighted in the data table, and other graphs. JMP provides a comprehensive set of statistical tools as well as design of experiments and statistical quality control in a single package. It can work with a variety of data formats, such as text files, Microsoft Excel files, SAS Institute datasets, and ODBC-compliant databases.

System Requirements Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later is required.

Downloading JMP 7 JMP 7 is one of Iowa State's Site-Licensed software packages. You will need your Iowa State Net-Id and password to download JMP 7 from the Iowa State Site-Licensed Software Server. If you are faculty, staff or a student at Iowa State, you can download JMP 7 from here (194 MB).

Installing JMP 7 Read the "JMP License" file. Continue only if you agree to the terms and conditions of this license. Installing JMP constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. Read the "Read Me.txt" file. Double-click the "JMP-7-Installer" file to install JMP 7 (license expires June 30, 2010).

Downloading and Installing the JMP 7 License If you have previously installed JMP 7, you can download just the JMP 7 license from here (512 KB). You will need your Iowa State Net-Id and password to download the JMP 7 License installer from the Iowa State Site-Licensed Software Server. Double-click the "JMP-070x-License.pkg" file to install the JMP 7 license (license expires June 30, 2010). The JMP application must be in the /Applications folder for this installer to update the JMP 7 license.
