About tn320 X

tn3270 X is capable of using SSL to secure the connection between your computer and the ISU Administrative Systems host mainframe. The ISU Administrative Systems connection document included with tn3270 X is configured to use this secure connection method.

System Requirements

tn3260 X requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 and later.

Installing tn3270 X

tn3270 X is one of Iowa State’s Site-Licensed software packages.

If you are faculty, staff or a student at Iowa State, you can install tn3270 X from smb://software.iastate.edu/software/tn3270X/. You will need your Iowa State Net-Id and password to install this software from the Iowa State University Software Server.

In order to ensure that you are using the proper configuration, please make sure all previous versions of tn3270 and older connection documents (Central Systems, ISU Administrative Services, ISU Administrative Systems) have been completely removed from your system before installing.

From the Install folder:

• Read the tn3270X-Site-License file.
• Continue only if you agree to the terms and conditions of this license. Installing tn3270 X constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
• Double-click on the tn3270–0340.dmg file to mount the tn3270 X 3.4 disk-image.
• From the tn3270 X 3.4 disk-imge: * Double-click on the tn3270 X 3.4.0.pkg file to start the installer.
